Runs take place every other Sunday afternoon, start at 1 pm or 2 pm, check on website http://jamaicahash.org for details. Join us for a beer on Friday evenings in the beer garden at Villa Maria, 33 Seymour Avenue, hosted by the Jamaican German Society. Higgins report: I hashed with the Jamaica H3 on Sunday 1-MAR for their run 555. All trails take place in the countryside every other Sunday, better accessible with a SUV/jeep/4x4. It's a hilly country, weather is tropical and the trails can be hard in terms of terrain. That day was no different and the last 2kms were in the river. It may sound cool but the riverbed was made of round stones and water holes so it was actually a tough section. Kudos for the sweeping hares who stayed with me far at the back as I was negotiating every step of the river trail section, completely exhausted. The pack was about 60-strong and after the circle food was available for purchase. Then we drove back towards civilization for a few more beers in a bar/shack along the main road.
