A walk and a run set each week always followed by an 'on on' A family Hash all are welcome, runners, walkers, children and we even let dogs run (as long as they are at least as well behaved and have table manners on par with the Grand Masters). The run details are posted on the Fajara Club notice board, at Marouns Supermarket and at Churchill's by Sunday lunchtime. The Banjul Hash House Harriers was started on 2nd January 1980 and has run every Monday since then amassing more than 1,000 runs to date. It is now as much a social club as a running club, with members of many different nationalities and religions. There is definitely no pressure put on anybody to run (though you can if you wish), and there are provisions made for walkers and short cutters (SCBs). The idea of the run/walk being to try and get everybody, the runners, walkers and short cutters back together. After the run there are cold beers and soft drinks available, with a fun raffle for charity. While membership is free we do charge weekly running fees of D50 for adults and D25 for children. We do contribute to the different charities that we have helped over the years. The Banjul Hash has helped with more than GBP25.000 to local charities since its inception. Summer usual schedule: Friday Winter usual schedule: Friday Running: Hilly. 7Km Long and 4km Short Other run information: Hash history was made on Friday 07 October 2016 when Mengo Hash House Harriers (MH3) came into being as the second weekly hash event in Kampala City. As if trying to celebrate Uganda's 54th independence in advance, about 15 regular KH3 wankers congregated at Backpackers Hostel Lungujja and took off at 05:15pm to flag off MH3 run number 001. The inaugural hash cash was Etonnya who pocketed Shs 8k from each wanker and the pioneering trail hare was Kilove Love who is no stranger at this kind of job. His trail of about 8km was surprisingly friendlier than what he is capable of and everyone was back in time to watch the Uganda Cranes hold the Black Stars to an away 0-0 draw in Tamale, Ghana. Alz Bar the main brains behind the new venture and acting Hashmaster says MH3 was made to come to accommodate wankers who require a second weekly hash run. When it was all done sinners were Muchira, Kamdul and Ssese Fire. Chatter Box went to Bagbo and the ultimate Hash Shit honour was deservedly awarded to White Crap for donating hash shit implements and carelessly forgetting to collect them from his car. Fruits, drinks and food were there in plenty.
