Find a Hash
Choose Find a Hash to browse the regional directory for the USA, Central America, South America and the Caribbean, search current listings and use the kennel map. A listing may include its last verified date, Current State, an Edit kennel link and a report link. The Contacts, history and more section is expanded by default. You can also help verify older directory listings. Report outdated information from the individual kennel listing instead of editing it directly; Site Admin reviews changes.
Directory status and statistics
Each kennel has the legacy DEAD flag and a Current State value. The standard Current State choices are Alive and Verified, Unknown and Dead. Status comparisons are case-insensitive, so values such as Dead, DEAD and dead are treated the same. Older nonstandard Current State values are highlighted for correction in the directory editor.
On Statistics / Counts, Active means DEAD is not Y; Dead means DEAD=Y; and To verify is the subset of active clubs whose Current State is Unknown.
Help verify a club
Start from the verification invitation on the home page, click the active clubs needing verification count on Statistics / Counts, or open the Community Verification Drive. You can also verify a specific club from its public listing.
A useful confirmation says whether the club is still active, whether its website or social page still belongs to it, and whether its usual schedule and public contact details are current. Tell us how you know and when you checked; suggest corrections where needed. Choose “Don't know” when unsure.
Submissions go to Site Admin for review. Accepting a confirmed active report updates the club's status and verification date. Other suggested changes require explicit administrator selection. A confirmation does not establish the next trail's meeting point: check the next trail's date, time and location with the club before travelling.
Suggest a missing kennel
Use Suggest a kennel for a club missing from the directory. Sign in, then supply its name, country, state or province, and first-hash date if known, plus useful public contact links. Site Admin reviews suggestions before creating a record. For a club already listed, submit a verification or correction from its listing.
Traveling? Find a Hash near where you’ll be!
Going out of town? Use the Map Search to find Hash House Harriers kennels near your destination. Enter a city or ZIP/postal code, or use your current location, then choose a search radius of 25, 50, 75, 100 or 150 miles.
The map initially fits the contiguous USA. Search a destination or use your location to zoom to the selected area. The map shows nearby kennels and lets you open their directory information. Green pins = active kennels; yellow pins = status unknown; red pins = inactive kennels.
This is especially useful when planning a trip: search where you will be, not just where you are now, and compare straight-line distances to recorded club locations; these are not driving distances.
Local verification campaigns
Half-Mind may publish a state/province volunteer campaign link asking local hashers to review kennels in a finite area. These public campaign pages are a shortcut into the same moderated verification process: choosing or reporting information does not directly change the directory. Site Admin reviews submissions before any directory fields are changed.
Create and use a Where account
- Open Where Have You Hashed? and register or sign in.
- Use the verification email, then sign in through the Where section.
- Use My Counts to select countries and U.S. states, then save.
- Use Profile & Password for your public bio and profile information.
Selections are not saved merely by clicking the map or filtering a list. Save, wait for confirmation, then reload to verify.
Lists, maps and milestones
Open Where Have You Hashed? to use My Lists, the U.S. Map, World Map and milestones. The state map allows click-to-select editing while signed in. Milestones use saved selections: countries, states, total hashes and real-world continent assignments. If a count or map label appears wrong, use the correction/reporting option on the relevant page.
Patches, hashtags and plates
Browse the Patch Gallery, Hashtags and Plates. Cards use clear record labels: Gallery patch record #, Tag record # and Plate record #. Click an image for the viewer; use Previous/Next or left/right arrows, and Escape to close.
New image submissions are moderated. Sign in through Where Have You Hashed? before uploading a hashtag when possible so an administrator can explicitly credit it to your profile.
Club relationship safety: “Used as logo for Club #” means an administrator explicitly selected that exact Patch Gallery record as the active logo. “Linked to Club #” is a related patch, not a logo. Neither is inferred from a legacy p[number] filename, a name or a kennel.
Your contributions
Your Where account can have a public profile showing approved and pending Patch, Tag and Plate records that Site Admin explicitly connected to that account. Browse the Patch Gallery, Hashtags or Plates to find a record. Older submissions may not yet be credited; use the correction/reporting route on the relevant record when available rather than assuming ownership from a filename, club number or patch number.
Request a correction
Use Report a data correction on the relevant Patch, Hashtag or Plate record, or use Report a profile correction from the relevant public profile in Where Have You Hashed?. For kennel information, start with Find a Hash, open the kennel listing and use its report/correction option. Reports go to Site Admin and do not edit public records immediately.

The shared header provides the main resources, including Genealogy, About, Privacy Policy and Contact Ra, as well as Statistics / Counts, Patches, Hashtags and this guide. On smaller screens, open the Menu button. The Interhash link opens Interhash Council.
